The
Food Safety and Sanitation Program provides
a simple, cost effective approach to sanitation
that combines expert food handling procedures
with the most current cleaning methods. A food
safety specialist will visit your store to inspect
and rate food safety performance in all perishable
food handling departments. The results of this
audit are then reviewed with the store management,
and procedures for improvement may be discussed.
This in-depth health inspection documents your
commitment to delivering food safely to your retail
customers.
State law now requires that stores have a Person In Charge of Food Protection (PIC) on duty at all times when foods are being prepared. To help meet this requirement, Unified offers a one day ServSafe Food Safety Training class. This accredited program will meet the PIC requirements for state law. Each class includes a ServeSafe handbook, 8 hours of training, and a Certification test.
