The Competitive Pricing Department continuously monitors and works to improve each store's margin performance through an active pricing support program. The department maintains price zones in accordance with pre-established pricing rules, and works to maximize all opportunities to achieve optimum profitability with zone rule parameters. Competitive Pricing routinely meets with store owners and zone managers to report performance and provide strategic direction for improved profitability. Pricing support includes:

New item setup
Weekly price changes
Rule based zone and TPR pricing
A-B-C category rules
Salient (hold down) options by store
Price rounding rule options
